Sometimes we forget the long past of victories behind us. Our predecessors in the Bible overcame many things that today would be deemed impossible. Escaping lions, being freed from wrongful incarceration, braving an unrelenting water storm. We are all too quick to forget that God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. If He was with all those countless others in the Bible’s stories – what limits you from believing in His power today?

When I read this verse, I’m reminded that God has a purpose for those who serve Him. 

There is always a blessing masked by a difficult situation, and as a good teacher told me – we may not reap the benefits of the fight today, but we know that the purpose behind it was worth more than the pain.
